Whether you agree with the decision, or not, the feedback from the CCC engagement team on the Representation Review came into my in box this week and was informative and helpful. Here’s what it said:
Thank you again for making a submission in the Representation Review Initial Proposal and to those of you who came to speak to the Hearings Panel. You can read the minutes of the hearings which include the Panel’s deliberations. Your feedback has resulted in significant changes to the Final Proposal.
Next Steps
The Council is scheduled to confirm its Final Proposal for the representation arrangements for the 2022 and 2025 local body elections at its meeting on 18 June 2021. You can read the staff report, which includes updated maps of the proposed wards and community board areas. This is a public meeting and you are welcome to attend. You can also live stream the meeting or watch it on our video library at a later time.
Following this meeting you will have an opportunity to appeal or object the decision. I will provide more information about this process next week, following the adoption of the Final Proposal.
Ngā mihi,
