last week’s speakers – Louise Tapper and Rosemary Du Plessis

Last week we had Dr Louise Tapper and Adjunct Assoc Prof Rosemary Du Plessis Speaking about their research project Making the most of now: Young women’s experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oral history is important, and it was interesting to hear that this research has been added to existing oral history of our city. This was a very small sample which apparently backed up large international research projects. A number of those attending would like to see the research repeated with young men as well.
