Last week Carl Davidson

We had another great presentation by Carl Davidson last week. I really do like listening to a researcher who makes their numbers come alive. No firm has researched Christchurch more than Carl’s. Over the next few months, we will follow up the trends which Carl covered and address what has to be done to remedy what is going wrong and celebrate what is going right.

The key themes from the talk were:

1. Things are slowly getting better
2. But we remain a city of two halves
3. What we need is clear leadership and a vision
4. And while we’re working on those big macro issues, we all need to work harder to be better neighbours to those in our neighbourhoods who are on their own.
