A very good sub Gary. I would like to think all the people you have put on notice re proper due diligence; and the Councillors has the integrity and clarity of mind to do what is right for Chch, not just buckle to sub pressure. I think you have been very balanced but the financial and contractual scrutiny that residents and ratepayers deserve are critical elements begore a decision is reached. I was somewhat concerned and certainly not reassured by Stadium Chairs comments in The Star saying the contractual agreement is watertight and everything will be fine financially. I thought his comments bordered on being reckless and he should have remained silent; not attempting to influence the decision makers. Your point regarding the trouble NZ Inc has got into with Australian contractors should be a big red flag. And add to your list Some of the didastrous hospital build.
