What we can do for small local businesses:

I really liked this article in the Washington Post about how little book sellers are gathering together to take on Amazon. It is partly because I am missing Scorpio Books badly and I like reading printed matter.

This is an example of cooperative development which promotes the local, whilst challenging the ginormous outfit, like Amazon, which scours out everybody, but themselves, and then doesn’t pay taxes; and we all suffer.
